• A welcoming culture that values diversity and differing perspectives, experiences and beliefs

What you will be doing:

• Enhance resident well-being, autonomy, and participation in community life

• Evaluate and enhance programs designed to increase resident involvement

• Ensure personal professional development and compliance with mandatory training and certifications for both oneself and the team

• Lead and improve the welcome program for new residents, facilitating their integration and sense of belonging within the community

• Build and maintain strong partnerships with local entities, vendors, and contractors to support and enrich resident engagement and wellness

• Record and document discussions during town hall and resident council meetings

• Create and distribute the monthly schedule of community events and a newsletter for residents and their families

• Develop and implement programs in line with guidelines and brand standards

• Grow and oversee a dynamic volunteer program for in-person and remote volunteers, including student internships

• Bring at least one year of experience in developing programs for seniors, whether in independent living, assisted living, or community center environments

• Have a minimum of one year in a management or supervisory role

• Certified, or willing to become certified within the first 60 days of employment, to teach group land fitness and aquatic fitness classes for seniors, as recognized by the organization

• Hold a valid driver's license, with the readiness to obtain a special class license within six months of employment if required, complemented by a clean driving record

• Currently certified in CPR and First Aid

• Certificate in Smart Serve/Serving It Right (or willingness and ability to obtain)

• Proficiency in Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Excel, as well as virtual technologies such as Zoom/Teams etc.

• Additional certifications (i.e. specialized fitness, dementia training etc.) considered a valuable asset

• Sienna Senior Living is committed to creating an inclusive environment where all team members and residents feel like they belong. We seek applicants with diverse backgrounds and have a wide range of abilities. Sienna provides an accessible candidate experience

• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit
