Your Opportunity
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of warehouse associates, coordinating logistics activities, and collaborating with production, procurement, and quality control teams to support seamless manufacturing operations. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills, as well as a deep understanding of inventory management systems and warehouse best practices.
This is a critical role overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse within Due North's manufacturing environment. The position ensures the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of raw materials, components, and finished goods, while maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety, and productivity.
Schedule : Tuesday to Friday, 5 : 45am - 4 : 30pm
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage stock control : goods receipt, storage, retrieval, timely picking, documentation, and data entry into the system.
- Calculate storage space and capacity.
- Coordinate with establishment representatives to resolve issues such as damages, shortages, and non-conformance.
- Collaborate with department heads to coordinate warehouse activities with production, sales, and purchasing.
- Ensure circle checks are completed for all lifting devices according to Due North's Lift Truck Operating Policy.
- Ensure daily circle checks for our Minus Forty Straight Truck and maintain all safety documentation per MTO requirements.
- Estimate quantities or weights of products / materials in the system and determine appropriate storage or transport containers.
- Arrange efficient storage of incoming materials.
- Implement warehouse safety and security programs.
- Inspect materials, products, or equipment for defects or malfunctions.
- Monitor product locations to minimize walking and report concerns.
- Oversee pickup and delivery of products or materials.
- Address questions and complaints from customers or team members regarding warehouse services.
- Review orders and forecasts to anticipate peak delivery periods.
- Coordinate with production schedules to determine inventory, staffing, work procedures, and duties, considering budget and time constraints.
- Conduct regular stock checks and ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and report warehouse issues such as damaged or missing stock.
- Keep aisles clear and organize storage areas for easy access.
- Generate inventory and KPI reports for management.
- Stay current with warehouse and operations technology systems and procedures.
