Job description

Our Technology team wakes up every day with one goal in mind - connecting Canadians to the people and things that matter most. Together, we are proud to support 30 million Canadians each month through managing a robust portfolio that champions leading-edge technology. We drive large-scale, complex, and high-visibility technology projects and programs that shape the future of technology in Canada and expand connectivity from coast to coast. If you are interested in being a part of this, consider applying for the following opportunity:

Who we're looking for:
Rogers is seeking an experienced Delivery Manager (DM) to join the Wireline Network Implementation BC team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will own the end to end delivery of wireline network build and greenfield projects, ensuring milestones, dependencies, and occupancy dates are rigorously planned, tracked, and met.

Success in this role requires strong organizational discipline, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and expert use of ADM to maintain accurate project status, milestone updates, and reporting. You will collaborate closely with internal construction crews, civil and engineering teams, and outsourced contractors, ensuring all work is executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with approved designs.

This role is Full time Temporary for 12 months.

What you'll do:

  • Own and manage wireline deployment, augmentation, and greenfield projects from initiation through implementation and closeout
  • Maintain accurate and up to date project plans, milestones, and dependencies in ADM, ensuring data integrity and delivery visibility
  • Ensure all ADM milestones are updated regularly and consistently
  • Protect critical occupancy dates for greenfield projects, proactively managing risks and recovery plans
  • Manage outsourced contractor delivery, including scope definition, execution oversight, progress tracking, and milestone validation
  • Coordinate effectively with internal field crews, civil engineers, and construction partners
  • Review and interpret civil, electrical, and network design drawings to support planning, execution, and issue resolution
  • Utilize or review outputs from BricsCAD (or similar CAD tools) to validate designs and construction readiness
  • Develop and manage project schedules, critical paths, and dependencies
  • Forecast, order, and track equipment and material requirements
  • Track, manage, and forecast project budgets, ensuring visibility and accuracy
  • Identify and manage project risks and issues, driving timely escalation and resolution
  • Deliver clear, concise stakeholder communications, including status reporting, risks, and next steps
  • Support continuous improvement through process, template, and delivery best practice enhancements

What you bring:

  • Demonstrated experience delivering wireline network build or infrastructure projects, including greenfield developments
  • Expert working knowledge of ADM and strong discipline in maintaining accurate milestone and status updates
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Proven experience managing outsourced contractor delivery and coordinating with internal field crews
  • Ability to read and interpret civil, electrical, and construction drawings
  • Civil Engineering background or education is an asset (junior, intermediate, or senior level considered)
  • Experience or working knowledge of BricsCAD (or similar CAD/design tools) is an asset
  • Strong understanding and application of project management methodologies
  • Project Management designation (PMP or equivalent) is an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a delivery focused mindset
  • Ability to adapt, reprioritize, and execute in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Intermediate to expert knowledge of wireline technology deployment

To protect our people, brand and assets, a pre-employment background check will be conducted. As part of our selection process, all candidates must clear a criminal background check. Additionally, a credit check and drivers abstract may be required depending on the role.
