Job Description
We are seeking a full-time AZ roll off driver from Monday-Friday and the occasional Saturday (every 5 weeks), starting at 6 : 00am to join our team in Newmarket.
You will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of metal materials to and from our recycling facilities.
Responsibilities
- Operate an AZ-class roll off truck to transport metal materials to and from designated locations, ensuring compliance with traffic laws and company policies
- Safely load and unload metal materials onto the truck using appropriate equipment and secure the load to prevent shifting or damage during transit
- Perform manual tarping if necessary
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, ensuring that it is in good working condition
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules, report any issues or delays, and maintain efficient communication channels
Qualifications
- Must be physically fit to hand tarp 40 and 53yd bins
- Valid AZ driver's license with a clean CVOR and Drivers Abstract
- Experience driving 18 speed, manual transmission is required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an AZ Driver, preferably in a transportation or logistics setting
- Excellent driving skills and ability to navigate various road and traffic conditions
- Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols and practices
- Customer service-oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with metal recycling processes and materials is an asset
