What you will be doing

The main responsibilities of the Regional Security Manager are :

  • You propose and manage Security related projects in and across the sites in the region, thereby ensuring a harmonized and consistent approach of security within the sites in line with local legislation and Corporate guidelines;
  • You assist the local security responsible in the plants with the translation and implementation of global policies, guidelines and multi-site initiatives;
  • You take initiatives and lead regional projects to increase security awareness;
  • You ensure exchange of best practices across the sites within the region;
  • You remain up to date with respect to applicable security legislation within the region and inform & train site security responsible about relevant developments;
  • You perform security audits in the sites in your region taking into account specific legislation. You assist the local security responsible with the security risks assessment of the plant or site taking into account local or Business related specifications in the domains of Physical security, Information security, Transport security, Travel security, Supply Chain security, Integrity and Code of Conduct.
  • You are an active member of the security community including the Regional Security Managers network and of the Corporate Security team where you work closely together with the security experts.
  • You communicate with the different BU’s in your region on request of the corporate security department to align on the different security domains : Physical security, Information security, Transport security, Travel security, Supply Chain security, Integrity and Code of Conduct.
  • You investigate and follow up on reported incidents after consultation with or on request of the Chief Security Officer.

Who we are looking for

  • Master or bachelor degree;
  • Experience with physical security and intellectual asset protection;
  • Preferably supported by security certifications.
  • Experience with managing projects in a matrix organization;
  • Experience in an industrial environment and good knowledge of Umicore is a plus;
  • Experience with or interested to learn and lead in all subdomains of security : physical security & site access control, hardware and software for implementing security protective measures, contractor & visitor management, information security protection (excluding cyber IT), operational excellence in security, transport security, travel security;

supply chain security and integrity

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Risk management, auditing and performing investigations.
