Located in Toronto or Montreal

  • Responsible for developing new business for specified Industries and customers.
  • The positions primary responsibility is to drive specifications for Dodge products at selected industries in a specific region
  • This position will specifically target the Aggregate, Cement, Grain, F&B, Mining, Forest product industries. It will be your responsibility to develop a detailed plan on how to attack these industries and drive growth for Dodge products.

Activity will include calling on key end users, EPC firms and coordinating efforts with FSE’s at the key OEM’s supporting this industry.

  • Additional key accounts will be assigned depending on the location of the applicant. These accounts will be in line with the current focus that Dodge has on our key industries.
  • Participate in Regional and National trade organizations to develop relationships and drive demand for Dodge products in the focus Industries.

It is critical to take and a leadership role in these organizations to make the right connections and truly drive business.

  • Customer relations : Establishes and maintains effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promote customer understanding of full product & systems / services offering and align to provide a solution.
  • Ensures a positive customer experience throughout the sales process with full acceptability for the customer relation & experience.
  • Develops, maintains, and shares detailed knowledge of the customer’s business strategy, purchasing behavior, organization, decision-makers, customer business drivers, economic trends and competition.
  • Ability to utilize internal resources to provide ongoing value added service and support to your targeted customer base.
  • Develop relationships at all levels within the customer base that includes purchasing, engineering, sales, middle management and upper management.
  • Utilize SFDC (Sales Force Dot Com) to identify specification activities.
  • 5 years of experience in sales, working within the industrial market preferred.
  • Good knowledge and experience with mechanical products.
  • Professionalism, well organized and demonstrated experience in management of customer accounts and sales strategy.
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach, with strong communication and customer relationship-building skills.
  • Strong decision-making ability while negotiating commercial and technical items with customers and colleagues, both to win new work and to resolve disagreements.
  • A bachelor’s degree from accredited post-secondary institution, preference towards Mechanical Engineering or relevant industry experience.
  • Fluency in English & French is a plus (written and spoken)
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time within the Country.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering or Industrial Distribution is highly desired and minimum 3-5 years of experience working in related field.
  • Dodge product application knowledge with the ability to recommend suitable products to customers and to differentiate products from those of the competition.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to listen, understand, educate and influence customers / potential customers regarding products.
  • Capable of appraising commercial business situations, both internal and external and determining course of action.

  • Trained to sell mechanical power transmission products in industrial applications.
