Our client is a leading mid-sized accounting firm with multiple offices, they specialize in delivering value-added accounting, advisory, audit, and tax services to our diverse clientele.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Present Financial statements and recommendations to the senior leadership team
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable to ensure accuracy and financial integrity.
- Process vendor invoices and customer payments promptly to maintain efficient cash flow.
- Keep accurate and detailed records of all financial transactions.
- Prepare and manage payroll schedules and employee records.
- Accurately calculate employee salaries, deductions, and benefits.
- Ensure compliance with national and provincial payroll and tax regulations.
- Gather and compile budget data, forecasting based on expected revenues and expenses.
- Generate regular cost reports and financial statements for review.
- Analyze budget performance, identifying discrepancies between actual results and projections.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to the COO based on thorough financial analysis.
- Code, batch, enter, verify, and reconcile a variety of financial transactions.
- Maintain and update ledger entries in QuickBooks to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Requirements
- Postsecondary diploma or degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in accounting or financial management.
- Strong discretion and judgment in handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Ability to perform independently, making decisions with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
