At our Crossfield Agro Site, we're looking for a dedicated Facility Assistant to join our team and contribute to maintaining the efficiency and safety of our operations.

Position : Facility Assistant
Part-time : 24 36 hours per week. Eligible for benefits after 3 months. If you are relocating from another province, please ensure you have AB Health coverage to be covered by our plan provider.
Availability : Weekdays and weekends : Mornings, afternoons, and evenings. Extended hours during spring and fall seasons.
Responsibilities :
- Assist in the operation and maintenance of the Agro Site and fertilizer plant
- Handle special customer requests efficiently and courteously
- Operate equipment and the fertilizer blend plant
- Load, unload, and deliver agri-products efficiently
- Assist with product sales and introduction of new product lines
- Participate in inventory management and control procedures
- Ensure the proper and safe use of PPE and required equipment to protect the safety of employees, customers, and the environment
- Maintain the appearance of all facilities and equipment according to the image checklist
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance program and minor repairs
- Adherence to policies and procedures for robbery, accidents, fire prevention, WHMIS, and dangerous goods handling
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager
Qualifications :
- High school diploma is preferred
- Valid Class 3 driver’s license
- Completion of TDG (Transportation of Dangerous Goods) and WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) within the first months of employment is required
- Experience in customer service is preferred
- Physical ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
- Must provide an acceptable driver’s abstract upon hire
- Familiarity with handled products and awareness of new product information to maintain current knowledge
