  • Maintain updated drawings and documentation in project databases.
  • Improve project profitability and competitiveness through effective use of VDC technologies and timely deliverables.
  • Oversee fittings libraries and report discrepancies to the VDC Manager.
  • Prepare final drawings and sketches, verifying dimensions, materials, and system relationships.
  • Perform calculations for angles, tolerances, clearances, weights, layouts, and opening locations.
  • Work cross‑functionally to align design development with project schedules.
  • Develop workflows bridging CAD to CAM to streamline fabrication and installation processes.
  • Collaborate closely with the VDC Project Lead and Project Superintendent to ensure coordinated, strategy‑aligned outputs.
Must haves:
  • 1+ years of Revit experience on mechanical projects (preferred).
  • Post‑secondary diploma in Mechanical or Construction Technology or a related field.
  • Experience in mechanical contracting trades (HVAC, plumbing, piping, sheet metal).
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and documentation.
  • Experience within construction, engineering, manufacturing, or related technical environments.
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities using design tools and virtual construction technologies.

Nice to haves:

  • Experience in Pipe / Duct Prefabrication
  • Experience modelling multiple mechanical systems.
  • Knowledge of routing optimization and mechanical codes.
  • Familiarity with CAM workflows or fabrication‑integrated modelling.
  • Hold or be eligible to obtain Government of Canada security clearance.
