Position Summary
The Design Manager (Utility & Traffic Coordination) is responsible for overseeing utility design coordination and the transition from traffic and utilities design to implementation. This role goes beyond standard design management, requiring local experience with proven hands‑on expertise in coordinating complex infrastructure interfaces and ensuring seamless collaboration between technical teams, contractors, and external stakeholders.
Reports to : Technical Director
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee utility design coordination across multiple disciplines, ensuring compliance with local standards and regulations.
- Manage the transition from traffic and utilities design to implementation, bridging technical design with construction execution.
- Act as the primary interface between design teams, contractors, utility providers, and government agencies to resolve technical challenges.
- Ensure stakeholder requirements are captured, integrated, and managed throughout the design and implementation phases.
- Provide technical oversight to guarantee constructability, safety, and efficiency in design solutions.
- Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to maintain project timelines and budgets.
- Champion best practices in design coordination, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
