Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, you will act as a key advisor to internal stakeholders, ensuring reliable financial reporting and the consistent application of corporate policies.

Advantages
- High-visibility role acting as the primary backup to the Director of Finance and a key advisor to leadership.

- Competitive hybrid work model and a supportive environment focused on professional development.

- Lead general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and treasury functions.
- Authorize and reconcile payments while maintaining the integrity of banking activity and financial records.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support liquidity planning, resource allocation, and cost-effective decision-making.

Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Manage the annual audit process, coordinating directly with external auditors and resolving findings promptly.
- Establish and monitor internal controls to safeguard corporate assets; identify and mitigate financial compliance risks.
- Continuously refine accounting policies to ensure consistent application across the organization.
- Manage all statutory remittances, tax filings, and public account submissions.

Systems & Process Innovation
- Oversee the organization’s accounting software and financial tools.
- Identify opportunities for automation and technology enhancements to streamline workflows.

People Leadership
- Directly lead and coach a team of five (1 direct, 4 indirect reports).
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, and performance management while ensuring an appropriate segregation of duties.

Qualifications
- 7+ years in progressive accounting; 3+ years in a management role.
- CPA (in progress or completed).
- Fluent bilingualism (English/French) is required.
- Deep experience in full-cycle accounting, multi-provincial payroll/tax, and cloud-based ERP systems (NetSuite experience would be a strong asset)
- Assets: PCP/PLP certification; strong knowledge of ASPE.
- Advanced analytical and audit skills.
- Strong interpersonal coaching and team leadership.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a high-stakes environment.
- Willingness to travel and participate in emergency response duties.
