As part of our crews, you’ll travel across the province—working in communities big and small, from lakeside towns and scenic rural routes to vibrant cities and northern landscapes. If you enjoy variety, new surroundings, and the excitement of seeing parts of Ontario many people never get to experience, this is a fantastic opportunity.
Think of yourself as a conductor of the roadways—coordinating the movement of vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians to maintain safe and steady traffic flow through active work zones. Using signage, hand signals, and clear communication, you’ll help ensure the safety of your crew and the public alike.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Directing traffic through construction and maintenance zones
- Monitoring traffic patterns and responding quickly to changing conditions
- Communicating professionally with the public, drivers, and teammates
- Supporting the crew with light general labour duties as required
- Maintaining a strong focus on safety for workers, pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists
This role is hands‑on, fast‑paced, and highly visible. Strong communication skills, situational awareness, and a commitment to safety are essential to success.
Minimum Qualifications
- G driver’s license and clean abstract
- Willingness to travel and work away from home for extended periods of time
- TCP Book 7 certification or willingness to attend training
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous construction experience

$21.00 - $22.84 per hour
