Job Description

Overview

Location – Toronto (hybrid)

Term employment contract or independent contractor - potential for extension

You will be part of the Program Management Office (PMO) team within a MarTech/E-Commerce client organization. You will work on and lead sophisticated cross-organizational programs working with partners to build roadmaps, plan requirements, manage timelines, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company.

We are looking for a diligent, self-organized, and motivated individual with the ability to work independently through everyday tasks and challenges. Candidate must have knowledge of product lifecycle management and experience in agile execution. In addition, it is important for this role to have technical knowledge to be able to influence and lead technical programs.

Successful candidate must be at ease working in a cross-functional and globally distributed team with high emphasis on successful and timely delivery. The team is committed to diversity and inclusion, we love connecting people from different backgrounds, perspectives and geographies!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define program objectives with key business partners, including identifying key products and capabilities to be delivered. Develop detailed project specifications and establish baseline plans covering scope, timelines, deliverables, resource requirements, dependencies, and constraints.

  • Lead and manage large-scale, cross-functional programs focused on digital commerce, advertising, and platform enablement, including initiatives such as:

    • Surfacing marketplace inventory across social and AI-driven platforms (e.g., Facebook Marketplace, Pinterest, etc.)

    • Enhancing and optimizing inventory shared with paid advertising partners (e.g., Google, Meta)

    • Enabling campaign optimization through improved data signals and platform capabilities for campaign setup, experimentation, and performance tracking

    • Supporting paid ads enablement for live commerce events

  • Partner closely with product management and engineering teams to drive consistent, high-quality delivery through Agile methodologies at scale.

  • Develop and maintain program roadmaps, project plans, and delivery schedules aligned with business and technical priorities.

  • Drive program execution end-to-end: track delivery progress, manage scope, risks, and dependencies, and proactively identify and resolve blockers through strong cross-functional collaboration.

  • Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders across business, product, engineering, and external partners by establishing trust, ensuring clear communication, and effectively managing expectations at all levels.

  • Conduct regular progress reviews to assess outcomes, ensure alignment to timelines, budgets, and quality standards, and provide accurate, timely reporting to stakeholders. Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Experience operating in technology-driven environments, ideally within e-commerce, retail, digital marketing, or advertising ecosystems

  • Proven track record of managing complex programs or large-scale, cross-functional initiatives with broad organizational impact

  • Strong experience working closely with product and engineering teams, either as a TPM or in a highly collaborative delivery role

  • Outcome-oriented mindset with the ability to clearly articulate business impact (e.g., revenue growth, performance improvements, efficiency gains), rather than focusing solely on task execution

  • Experience with ads platforms, MarTech, marketplace ecosystems, or partner integrations is a strong asset

  • 4 years of minimum experience as a Technical Program Manager (TPM)
  • Strong process orientation as well as business acumen and communication skills

Education / Certification

  • Bachelor or Master degree in a business, technology, engineering or science domain (technical preferred)
  • Certification in project management/agile or Product Owner

Essential Skills Required:

  • Experience moving technical or engineering programs and products from inception to delivery
  • Good stakeholder management skills across all levels of hierarchy.
  • Strong communication skills and a dynamic personality with a passion for innovation.
  • Good knowledge in simplifying/automating ways of working.
  • Proficient in analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with collaboration, planning and project management tools (e.g. Airtable, JIRA, Confluence, dashboarding with queries and rich filters).
  • Deep knowledge of product lifecycle management.
  • Extreme attention to detail and precision in producing quality output.
  • Proficient use of Google Office Suite (Docs, Sheets, and Slides)
  • Understanding of E-Commerce, Marketplaces, MarTech, Digital Marketing or CRM are beneficial
