Job Title: Mobile Developer-UI Technical Lead

Designation: Senior Technical Lead

Location: Montreal, QC

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled UI Technical Lead to oversee the development and support of mobile applications using Angular and React Native. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mobile application development for both Android and iOS platforms, with a focus on creating robust user interfaces and scalable applications. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of mobile applications for Android and iOS platforms.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define application requirements and specifications.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in software development, including design patterns and 12-factor application principles.
  • Oversee the integration of backend services and messaging solutions, utilizing tools such as Apache Kafka or Kinvey.
  • Implement DevOps practices using Azure DevOps (ADO) for continuous integration and deployment, ensuring agile workflows are followed.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Document technical specifications, design decisions, and development processes for future reference.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the team.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Proficiency in Angular and Cross - Platform React Native for mobile application development.
  • Strong knowledge of Node.js and TypeScript for building scalable applications.
  • Experience in developing applications within the Google Cloud.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement applications for both Android and iOS platforms.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to interface effectively with multiple departments.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with the logistics industry (Railroad) is considered a valuable asset.
  • Experience with NativeScript and integrating backend services.
  • Knowledge of general SDLC processes and HTML5 & CSS3, including CSS-based design.
  • Ability to design, develop, document, test, and debug new and existing mobile applications.
  • Quick learner with a positive attitude and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate or Post Graduate degree in a relevant field.
