Job description

Nuovo Parts is a leading provider of critical rotating equipment parts and solutions. We specialize in ensuring the reliability and performance of industrial machinery through our comprehensive range of parts and technical expertise. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Technical Equipment & Parts Representative to join our team at Nuovo Parts.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the incumbent will play a pivotal role in ensuring the readiness and accessibility of parts for critical rotating equipment. This position requires ongoing collaboration with various departments within our organization, original equipment manufacturers (OEM), and our valued customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify correct parts by working closely with customers to determine their specific needs and requirements.
  • Develop unit-specific parts kits to streamline maintenance and repair processes for our customers.
  • Manage customer inventory strategy to ensure optimal stock levels and timely availability of parts.
  • Collaborate with customers and sales teams to propose replacement units for obsolete equipment or suggest factory options for updates and material changes to existing units.
  • Advise customers and service personnel on the work scope for different types of equipment and provide guidance on maintenance-related specifications.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of parts usage, inventory levels, and customer interactions using appropriate software and systems.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, OEMs, and internal teams to facilitate smooth operations and effective communication.
  • Act as a technical resource for customers, providing assistance and guidance on equipment-related inquiries and issues.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Mechanical Engineering Technology Diploma
  • Experience with CAD an asset
  • Mechanically inclined with a strong understanding of machinery and equipment functionality.
  • Previous experience working in a shop or Parts Fulfillment Environment
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand complex equipment and parts specifications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with customers, sales teams, and internal departments.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain utmost confidentiality at all times with tact, diplomacy and integrity
