This Nuclear Medicine MRT I position performs a wide range of functional imaging in the busy and dynamic Diagnostic Imaging Department at Chinook Regional Hospital. Close collaboration with technical staff, nursing, patients, physicians, supervisor and management is required.
Description:
As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) I, you will be responsible for performing a variety of nuclear medicine procedures for the diagnosis and tracking of disease and pathology. As a NMT I, you will perform Nuclear Medicine procedures as described in the department procedure manual using a wide range of equipment such as gamma cameras, computers, ECG monitors, cardiac stress equipment, and radiation safety devices.
Required Qualifications:Completion of diploma from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology (NMT) Program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic & Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT).
Additional Required Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist is preferred. EPIC Connect Care and PACS proficiency is an asset. Superuser training or additional responsibilities in the department an asset. AHS annual continuing education and ACMDTT education requirements up to date and applicable additional courses preferred. Radiation Safety Officer or related courses an asset. Previous experience with hybrid imaging an asset. Excellent laboratory skills preferred.
