Select People Solutions is pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client in the food production space. We are seeking an experienced and driven Maintenance & Engineering Manager to lead operations within a high-performance processing facility.
This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations—from production and quality to safety, people leadership, and continuous improvement. Compensation & Hours:
• The rate of pay will be $130K/year
• Monday through Friday, daytime hours
Position Summary:
• Oversee day-to-day plant operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and timelines are consistently met
• Lead, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary team across production, maintenance, and support functions
• Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all regulatory and company standards
• Monitor and optimize plant performance, identifying opportunities for efficiency, cost savings, and process improvements
• Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning, capital projects, and operational growth initiatives
• Ensure consistent product quality through effective quality control systems and continuous improvement practices
Required Qualifications:
• 7+ years of experience in plant or operations management within manufacturing, or food processing environments
• Proven leadership experience managing teams in a production setting
• Strong understanding of production processes, equipment, and plant operations
• Experience with health & safety regulations and compliance in an industrial environment
• Demonstrated ability to drive operational improvements and manage competing priorities
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Bonus Points For:
• Background in commissioning or scaling new facilities or production lines
• Familiarity with HACCP, food safety standards, or quality assurance systems
• Experience with ERP systems and production planning tools
• Engineering or technical education (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related)
