About this opportunity :

Location : Winkler Feed Mill

Employment Type : Full-time (40 hours / week)

Salary : Starting wage from $23.00 per hour.

Schedule : Rotating shifts that include weekends holidays and occasional alarm response.

Looking for a role where your mechanical skills truly matter As a Maintenance Technician at Canada Packers youll take the lead in performing both preventative and non-scheduled maintenance on a wide range of production equipment in our feed manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities :

This position reports directly to theSenior Supervisor and your daily responsibilities will include :

Maintaining repairing and overhauling plant production equipment buildings and grounds

Performing preventative maintenance and implementing improvements or modifications

Supporting project teams in the design installation and commissioning of new or modified equipment

Keeping accurate records of inspections repairs and meter readings

Scheduling tracking and completing preventative maintenance on all machinery and boilers

Managing sourcing and inventory control of required parts

Troubleshooting equipment issues and developing solutions independently

Responding to maintenance issues and alarms on a rotational basis including weekends and holidays

Skills & Experience :

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of application. Proof of eligibility may be requested during the recruitment process.

Excellent mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

Practical experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial setting

Experience with automated manufacturing equipment

Strong oral and written communication skills

Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge of PLC and controls is an asset

Licensed Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Class 4 Power Engineer or equivalent work experience

Valid Manitoba Class 5 drivers license
