HR and Talent Acquisition Coordinator (Part-Time)

Evvo is looking for an HR and Talent Acquisition Coordinator to join our team in Cambridge. With the support of the HR Consultant, you will be taking full ownership of the employee experience, office culture, recruitment for our local operational roles and health and safety coordination.As the local face of HR for our Cambridge team, you will serve as the heartbeat of our local operations. We specialize in integrating circular economy principles for large enterprises and governments, with a focus on mobile device management (smartphones and tablets). Our approach extends the lifespan of devices and offloads mobility-related requests from our clients' IT teams—a practice we call Managed Mobility Services. What You Will Do :

1. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Full-Cycle Recruitment: Manage the hiring process for all operational roles in Cambridge, from screening and interviewing to supporting hiring managers.
  • Strategic Support: Assist the HR Consultant with sourcing and scheduling for senior-level roles.
  • Onboarding Ownership: Lead the end-to-end onboarding experience for all of our Cambridge new hires.

2. Talent Management & Engagement

  • Training Coordination: Organize and log all learning opportunities, workshops, and mandatory training sessions for the Cambridge team.
  • Protocol Adherence: Guarantee the execution of our talent management protocols and help coordinate quarterly individual performance meetings.
  • Employee Advocacy: Act as the "local ears" for Cambridge staff, identifying career aspirations and flagging internal development needs to management.

3. HR Administration & Health and Safety

  • JHSC Leadership: Act as the lead coordinator for the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC). Schedule meetings, maintain minutes, and ensure all workplace inspections meet Ontario Ministry of Labour standards.
  • Safety Culture: Ensure 100% of mandatory safety training (WHMIS, Health & Safety Awareness) and certifications (First Aid) are current for all staff.
  • Payroll & HRIS SME: Serve as the primary resource for our HRIS/Payroll system, providing hands-on training to managers and answering employee inquiries regarding pay and benefits.
  • Compliance: Process all employee changes in our HRIS System, ensure that the documentation is up to date. Act as the SME for Ontario Employment Laws.
  • Office & Social Management: Act as the Cambridge Office Manager and head the local Social Committee to promote a vibrant office culture.

What We Are Looking For

  • Post-secondary Education, with a concentration in Human Resources preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in HR coordination or administration, preferably in a manufacturing plant, warehouse, or industrial environment
  • Knowledge of the Ontario Employment Laws
  • CHRP designation (an asset)
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with the ability to build effective relationships with employees and managers.
  • Passionate about making a positive impact on the environment.
