Role description :

Arcadis Building Structural Group works on a wide range of projects including buildings, subway stations, transit facilities, waste water, industrial plants, support of excavation across Canada. We are looking for an Intermediate Structural Engineer (P. Eng.) to join our team. You will be engaged to structural design on buildings, industrial plants, subway / LRT underground stations, support of excavation, and waste water projects. You will also work on construction support activities as per project requirements. The successful candidate will not only have strong structural engineering design experience, an eye for detail and strong sense of urgency but also have very strong written and verbal communication skills. Past experience working on underground and / or surface rapid transit projects (subway, LRT) and support of excavation is a definite asset. Note that this role will require a significant amount of time dedicated to working in design environment, meeting with project stakeholders, and clients.

Role accountabilities :

• Work with design teams to achieve project successful delivery.
• Coordinate structural design and construction with other disciplines.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders and clients.
• Carry out structural modelling, analysis, and design.
• Prepare and review structural reports and drawings.
• Review construction submittals.
• Identify structural deficiencies, provide remedial options.
• Review of constructability, staging drawings, construction schedules and cost estimates.
• Work with construction team and discuss the best solutions.
• Attend meetings with clients and Stakeholders as needed and when required.
• Coordinate Engineering and commercial issues with the construction team.

The salary range for this position is $78,000 - $90,000. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
