Solution architect Jobs in Toronto, ON

We are seeking a highly accomplished and technical Senior Maximo Solution Architect for an enterprise-level contract opportunity based in Toronto. In this role, you will take on a premier leadership capacity within the enterprise asset management (EAM) stream, leading the design, configuration, data transformation, and integration architecture for high-visibility platform modernization initiatives.

As a principal architect, you will bridge the gap between legacy core systems and modern digital asset landscapes. Operating within the Eastern Time Zone, you will serve as the primary authority guiding cross-functional squads through complete system conversion, requirements review, fit/gap analysis, and complex data reconciliation. This role demands an elite subject matter expert who can map sophisticated facilities maintenance workflows, optimize mobile work executions, and establish seamless data exchanges across enterprise middleware and integrated environments.

Responsibilities
Enterprise Solution Architecture: Lead the technical review, fit/gap analysis, and end-to-end solution design of enterprise asset management software to support critical business requirements.

Platform Configuration Engineering: Provide senior-level functional expertise to configure core system components, including application designs, custom database structures, specialized workflows, and data escalations.

System Migration Oversight: Advise on complex process alignment, technical readiness, and stabilization strategies to transition legacy business structures into the target environment.

Facilities Workflow Optimization: Design and refine detailed maintenance processes encompassing service request intake, work order lifecycles, resource dispatching, and mobile tool executions.

Data Readiness & Integrity Governance: Oversee data mapping models, validate structural data rules, and manage the triage of configuration-related data defects.

Interface & Integration Engineering: Map out data integration parameters involving connected ERP platforms, enterprise service buses, third-party vendor applications, and mobile networks.

Environment & Release Management: Guide automated environment promotions and release readiness across development, testing, pre-production, and production staging areas.

Multi-Tier Quality Validation: Review comprehensive testing scenarios, validate system behavior, and lead complex bug triage across access, security, and process paths.

Risk Mitigation & Governance: Evaluate implementation architectural risks, recommending standard product features over custom alterations to preserve long-term platform upgradeability.

Stakeholder Forum Collaboration: Lead interactive design workshops, sprint review presentations, and technical triage forums to maintain alignment among software integrators and project leaders.

Sustainment Knowledge Transfer: Author comprehensive technical guidelines and conduct clear knowledge-transfer sessions for operational teams regarding technical data dependencies and integrations.

Qualifications
Core Technical & Architectural Requirements
Professional Maximo Tenure: 10+ years of progressive, hands-on software development and implementation experience deploying enterprise Maximo Asset Management solutions in major production environments.

Version 8.x/9.x Mastery: Proven track record delivering at least three large-scale production rollouts of Maximo, with at least one implementation executed successfully on modern IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) version 8.x or 9.x.

End-to-End Asset Modeling: Extensive experience blueprinting enterprise maintenance workflows including demand maintenance, preventive plans, inspections, vendor contracting, and physical location mapping.

Component Configuration Acumen: Deep structural knowledge of developer tools, database configuration suites, security profile groups, communication templates, and workflow managers.

Integration Framework Proficiency: Hands-on command of the Maximo Integration Framework, including REST/JSON API architecture, inbound/outbound messaging channels, and enterprise middleware coordination.

Preferred Technical Capabilities
SAP Integration Insight: Direct familiarity with SAP-to-Maximo data touchpoints, specifically regarding asset master data, procurement cycles, financial structures, and work order status synchronization.

Database & Report Querying: Skilled in utilizing BIRT report builders, data validation scripts, and advanced SQL-based database querying to execute data analysis and platform troubleshooting.

Release & Cutover Experience: Solid experience guiding System Integration Testing (SIT), supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), organizing live environment cutovers, and managing post-deployment stabilization phases.
