POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Human Resources and Communications Manager, the Recruitment Officer is responsible for supporting recruitment and staffing services to attract, select, and retain a qualified workforce. This role coordinates recruitment processes, supports onboarding, and contributes to staff development initiatives within the organization.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with full-cycle recruitment, including posting, screening, selection, and onboarding of new employees.
Ensure recruitment activities align with organizational policies and procedures.
Collaborate with internal managers and external partners to support recruitment initiatives.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date recruitment and employee documentation and files.
Prepare employment contracts, extensions, and service agreements.
Coordinate and deliver employee orientation processes and materials.
Support staff development and training initiatives, including tracking and coordination.
Maintain and update job descriptions and recruitment records.
Monitor casual and term employment timelines and status.
Prepare and submit regular recruitment and activity reports.
QUALIFICATIONS
Post-secondary education in Business Administration or a related field, with a minimum of two years of related experience.
Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) or related designation is an asset.
Knowledge of recruitment best practices and employment legislation is an asset
Proficiency with computers and standard office software.
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License

Problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Basic project coordination and planning skills.
Working knowledge of Blackfoot language and culture is considered an asset.
