Job description

Are you a skilled project leader who thrives on managing work from start to finish, solving challenges, and delivering results that make a real impact? Do you take pride in leading teams, building relationships, and driving projects to completion with precision and professionalism? If that sounds like you, our Project Manager (internally known as Project Manager II) role could be your next great opportunity! You'll oversee restoration and rebuild projects from estimation to completion, ensuring quality, safety, and profitability while mentoring others and shaping the client experience.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PROJECT MANAGER

As a Project Manager, you take full ownership of every restoration project, leading from kickoff to completion with precision and purpose. You'll scope losses, prepare detailed estimates, and manage budgets to ensure every project stays profitable and on schedule. You'll keep teams, subcontractors, and resources working in sync, driving progress while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards. You'll engage directly with homeowners, adjusters, and insurers to build trust, communicate clearly, and keep expectations aligned. You'll stay ahead of potential issues, solving challenges quickly and keeping work moving without delay. You'll also mentor junior project managers and supervisors, building their skills and ensuring consistency across every job you touch. Each day, your leadership, problem-solving, and commitment to excellence will deliver outstanding results for clients and your team alike.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager or equivalent experience in restoration or construction
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects independently from start to finish
  • Strong knowledge of restoration and construction practices, safety regulations, and building codes
  • Experience reading plans, developing scopes, and negotiating with clients and adjusters
  • Skilled communicator with strong organization and time management abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, mobile applications, and Xactimate (Level 2 certification an asset)
  • IICRC certifications: WRT and FSRT
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving abstract
  • Must be able to participate in a rotating on-call schedule
  • Ability to complete work activities which may include physical labour, material handling and lifting, climbing ladders, wearing a respirator, and working in tight spaces (attics, basements, and crawlspaces)

Who We Are

At First Onsite, the work you do every day makes a real impact. You'll help communities rebuild and families recover after unexpected events. We offer competitive pay, comprehensive health and dental benefits, and RRSP matching because we believe in taking care of our people.
