Job Description :

Exciting opportunity for a skilled and energetic Software Quality Engineer to join our backend search team here in Richmond, BC. This team is responsible for the brains behind our search engine. With over 200k requests per minute hitting these services quality is essential. In order to keep these services running smoothly we are looking for someone who will expose risk, interpret test results, drive test execution, and build end-to-end manual and automated tests. The successful candidate must have strong technical skills as well as a strong quality first mindset.

Duties And Responsibilities :

• Verification and validation of company's software back-end components and features using a variety of testing methodologies
• Report issues and suggestions into the Issue Tracking database following the Issue Tracking Life Cycle.
• Retest 'fixed' issues to ensure correct and complete resolution
• Test APIs working with NoSQL databases
• Design and develop best in class test automation code to maximize test coverage and efficiency
• Improve product and code testability
• Evangelize quality of your product
• Investigate, propose and demonstrate solutions to various engineering problems
• Learn, work, and thrive in an Agile Scrum environment
• Identify and assist in mitigating technical, schedule, and other project risks
• Proactively collaborate with teammates and project stakeholders to ensure project efforts proceed efficiently and predictably
