Our client in Niagara Region, ON is actively looking for a Metallurgical Manager to join their team.

Position Description:
  • Lead and oversee all metallurgical functions within the facility
  • Provide technical support to production, including resolving product non-conformities and implementing corrective actions
  • Support product development, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Define and monitor metallurgical and quality KPIs
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards (AS, ISO , ISO/IEC )
  • Interpret customer specifications and material requirements (ASTM, AMS, ASME)
  • Lead root cause investigations and customer complaint resolutions
  • Support audits, accreditations, and quality management systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and operational efficiency
  • Promote and maintain health and safety standards
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Metallurgy, Materials, Chemical, or Physical Sciences
  • + years of experience in steel manufacturing or a related metallurgical role
  • + years of leadership experience managing a metallurgical team
  • Strong knowledge of steel production processes (melting, refining, casting)
  • Experience with quality systems and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, and AutoCAD
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
