Job description

Job Description

CIMA+’s Project Management team is at the forefront of delivering construction projects across a wide range of industries, including institutional and heritage buildings, healthcare, public transportation, energy, infrastructure, and manufacturing. We pride ourselves on creating tailored project management solutions, guiding each project from start to finish. With a collaborative, transparent approach, we deeply understand our clients' vision and provide agile, effective solutions to navigate the complexities and uniqueness of every project. Join us and immerse yourself in a dynamic, innovative, and collaborative environment where you’ll make a real impact. Together, we’ll push boundaries and go above what’s expected of us to meet the challenges of tomorrow and engineer a better world!

We are seeking a dynamic Project Coordinator with experience in utility projects to join our Vancouver team. In this role you will drive success in complex, high-risk projects, collaborating with top-tier professionals and stakeholders. You’ll leverage your expertise to deliver excellence in quality, safety, and efficiency. This role offers the perfect blend of challenge, innovation, and career growth.

We offer a flexible hybrid work model, enabling you to work from home and in our Vancouver office.

Given that this is a candidate pool, please be advised that the process may vary and is open-ended. Our Talent Acquisition team will review each application and contact you at the appropriate time, if applicable.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of complex infrastructure projects by coordinating cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality delivery on time and within budget
  • Plan, lead, and monitor complex project activities to ensure alignment with defined benefits, resource allocation, and project milestones
  • Develop and maintain key project documentation—including project plans, risk registers, communication strategies, progress reports, and close-out summaries—to support effective execution and stakeholder engagement
  • Manage all phases of project delivery across multiple domains, including scheduling, cost control, quality assurance, change management, engineering, procurement, construction, stakeholder and Indigenous engagement, regulatory compliance, and safety—applying recognized project management methodologies
  • Foster strong, collaborative relationships with clients, contractors, engineers, and field teams through clear and consistent communication, leveraging strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Establish and promote project delivery standards through robust analysis, deep understanding of project management best practices, and a commitment to continuous improvement and resource optimization

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Construction or any other relevant field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management with major energy projects
  • Excellent working knowledge of safety standards and regulations such as Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Standards and WorkSafe Regulations
  • Effective communication abilities in English, including analytical skills, interpersonal communication, and presentations
  • Integrity, team spirit, and a commitment to excellence
