Job description
Job Description

This position can be located in either Sherwood Park or Calgary AB.

The Project Manager plays a critical leadership role across the full lifecycle of FLINT’s industrial construction and turnaround projects, from bid development and proposal planning through execution, closeout, and future pursuits.

Engaged early in the pursuit phase, this role provides constructability expertise, execution planning, schedule logic, resource strategies, and risk identification to help develop competitive, executable proposals. Upon project award, the Project Manager assumes ownership of delivery, ensuring continuity between the estimate, execution plan, commercial commitments, and field execution.

As a trusted leader, the Project Manager works closely with clients, estimating, operations, project controls, supply chain, engineering, and field teams to drive safe, predictable, and successful project outcomes. Beyond project completion, this role captures lessons learned, contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, and supports future bids and strategic growth opportunities.

This is an ideal opportunity for a driven construction professional who combines strong technical knowledge, commercial acumen, and leadership skills with a passion for delivering complex industrial projects safely, efficiently, and successfully.

What would you be doing?

Develop, implement, and maintain project plans, including:

  • Project Execution Plans
  • Materials and Equipment Plans
  • Subcontractor Management Plans
  • Cost and Schedule Control Plans
  • Change Management Plans
  • Transportation & Logistics Plans

Project Closeout & Continuous Improvement

Capture execution insights and feed them back into future pursuits to strengthen:

  • Estimating accuracy
  • Execution planning
  • Risk management
  • Proposal development

Perks of the job

  • Comprehensive insurance and benefits package
  • Health Care Spending Account
  • Paid vacation
  • Competitive compensation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or a related field is preferred
  • 7+ years of industrial construction experience in a mix of project management, project controls, estimating, operations, or related project delivery roles
  • Strong understanding of construction execution methods, constructability reviews, workforce planning, scheduling, contract administration, and project controls
  • Experience managing project cost, schedule, scope, risk, safety, quality, and client relationships from bid through to completion
