  • Monitor project costs, budgets, commitments, and financial performance while identifying variances and supporting corrective actions
  • Prepare client invoices, monitor billing milestones, and support accounts receivable activities in accordance with contract terms
  • Review accounts payable transactions, purchase orders, and receiving reports to ensure accurate cost allocation and financial reporting
  • Track purchase order commitments and reconcile committed costs against project budgets
  • Perform trend analysis, forecasting, and variance reporting to support project planning and decision-making
  • Support project change management by maintaining change logs, updating budgets, and establishing new cost codes and work orders
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Operations, Procurement, Accounting, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate project information and financial controls
  • Maintain project documentation, reporting, and file structures while supporting continuous improvement of project controls processes
  • Support multiple divisions while ensuring compliance with company procedures and project governance standards

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in project controls, project cost control, or a similar role
  • Experience supporting engineering, construction, EPC, or infrastructure projects
  • Strong understanding of project budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, invoicing, and financial reporting
  • Experience working with work breakdown structures (WBS), cost codes, purchase orders, and change management processes
  • Experience with ERP or project management systems such as JD Edwards (JDE), Project Pulse, or similar platforms is considered an asset
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across Operations, Accounting, Procurement, and Project Management teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and support multiple projects simultaneously
