You will foster collaboration with the manufacturing team to optimize processes and ensure safety and quality standards compliance. This is an existing, full time, permanent role working the night shift, Monday through Friday, 11 PM - 7 AM , with occasional overtime.

What’s in it for you Impact.

Quality and Food Safety are foundational at Skjodt-Barrett.

Your work will directly support the systems that ensure every product leaving our facility meets rigorous safety and quality standards.

In highly regulated categories such as infant nutrition, where expectations are exacting and oversight is strict, your role will help maintain the trust our customers place in us every day.

Hands-on exposure.

This role offers hands-on involvement across the full production process.

You will work both in the lab and on the production floor, participating in sensory testing of raw ingredients, monitoring temperatures and pH throughout production, and sampling finished products to verify quality standards.

You will maintain sample integrity by collecting, evaluating, and managing retain samples, including pallet preparation, documentation, and electronic logging.

You will collect, prepare, document, and submit microbiological samples to external laboratories according to established schedules and protocols.

You will also support food safety verification programs through ATP, allergen, environmental, and water sample collection.

Verify materials and production standards.

You will evaluate, test, and release raw materials to confirm compliance with food safety and quality specifications prior to use.

You will verify and document critical processing parameters across batching, filling, and post-pasteurization systems by reviewing displays, chart recorders, work instructions, and retention times, and signing off on approved processing parameter check sheets.

Perform product testing and verification.

You will monitor production areas to ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Support documentation and compliance.

You will complete and maintain required quality and food safety records, including sanitation logs, calibration records, glass and brittle plastic audits, light intensity checks, water/air/steam monitoring, and NC hold documentation.

You will initiate, investigate, and document non-conformances (NCRs), communicate findings to QA leadership, and support root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Support customer and internal quality requests.

You will prepare and release Certificates of Analysis (COAs), collect samples for Sales, Product Development, and external partners, and inspect and release NC holds.

Maintain operational communication.

You will support effective shift-to-shift communication by sharing critical quality and production information to maintain continuity and alignment across teams.

What you bring to the role: The qualifications.

You identify opportunities for process improvement and work collaboratively with production teams to implement solutions.

You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and excel at planning, with a continuous learning mindset to expand your knowledge and expertise.

You have professional and adaptable verbal and written communication skills, including recording, interpreting, and reporting data.

You build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders across all levels.

You value diverse experiences and perspectives, listening, understanding, and responding with respect.
