You’ll help keep the heart of our store running smoothly by supporting product flow and delivering friendly, reliable service to both customers and suppliers. Through attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to safety and quality, you’ll play an important role in ensuring our departments are well-stocked and ready to serve our customers each day. Here are some of the other ways you’ll help us stand out:

  • Deliver friendly and engaging customer service that supports Farm Boy’s commitment to the best fresh shopping experience.
  • Welcome, greet, and assist customers using Farm Boy Service Standards as needed.
  • Receive, unload, and distribute products to designated departments and coolers in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Verify delivery quantities, inspect product quality, and report any discrepancies to the leadership team.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work and storage areas through general housekeeping duties, including sweeping, mopping, and general equipment maintenance.
  • Handle merchandise returns, including skids and bins, as required.
  • Follow all corporate policies and procedures, with a strong focus on Health & Safety, Food Safety, and proper equipment use.
  • Support store operations by assuming other related duties on a periodic basis.

Qualifications

What you bring to the table.

  • A genuine passion for delivering engaging and exceptional customer service.
  • Up to 6 months of previous experience in a similar role, preferably working with perishable goods.
  • Ability to become certified to operate power material handling equipment, including pallet jacks and stackers.
  • The ability to work independently while taking pride in high-quality results, attention to detail, and cleanliness standards.
  • A collaborative, team-oriented approach supported by strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable in a physically active role that includes lifting and handling products up to 80lbs., along with frequent climbing, reaching, bending, and twisting throughout the shift.
  • Works confidently across varied environments, including receiving areas, coolers, and freezers, with exposure to colder, damp, and high-activity conditions and required protective equipment.
  • Flexibility to work a dynamic schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Fluency in English; French language skills considered an asset.
