Overview
Quality Inspector II will be responsible for preparing in-process and finished welded fittings for leak and hydrostatic testing, ensuring compliance with internal quality manuals and applicable industry codes & standards.
Key responsibilities include inspecting units for defects, accurately documenting results, and managing non-conforming products in accordance with established procedures. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to quality, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain precise records to support the high standards of manufacturing excellence of Thermon.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Independently identify and prioritize tasks based on the production schedule.
- Conduct thorough quality inspections on various hydronic units and electric cores using standardized checklists and reporting tools.
- Manage products with a strong focus on quality, including identifying and properly handling non-conforming items.
- Accurately complete and maintain test reports and inspection records.
- Safely operate a jib crane to carry out handling and positioning components during testing and inspection.
Key Characteristics, Competencies and Skills
- Basic understanding of ISO 9001 quality system requirements related to inspection processes and documentation.
- Basic understanding of welding principles and weld defects is preferred
- Minimal supervision and enjoy working with moderate level of direction.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload.
- Able to listen to directions and follow through.
- Able to perform in a high-volume, results-focused work environment.
- Able to quickly learn basic technical concepts and product applications.

Knowledge and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Able to use hand tools and powered tools.
- Good hand and or eye coordination skills.
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Excellent communication skills verbal and written.
- Good understanding of standard manufacturing processes.
