As the province’s largest energy provider with more than 100 years of knowledge and experience, we proudly deliver renewable energy, natural gas, electricity and propane to 1.3 million customers.
We're actively seeking new talent to join our mission of delivering a stronger energy future in B.C. As one of BC's Top Employers with a diverse team of over 2,800 employees, we are committed to a safe and inclusive culture where each of us can connect, belong, and grow. Position Overview
If you enjoy bringing people together to deliver meaningful projects—and you thrive in environments where clear communication and strong organization matter—we’d love to connect with you. Join a team that’s shaping the future of energy in the Interior BC alongside passionate professionals who care about safety, reliability, and innovation.
As our Project Manager, you’ll lead capital projects from early concept through to final completion, ensuring they’re delivered safely, successfully, and to a high standard. You’ll coordinate and foster collaboration across internal teams and external partners, making sure project requirements are met by applying strong fundamentals in scope, budget, schedule, and risk management. From planning and permitting to construction oversight and close‑out, you’ll keep projects moving smoothly while building alignment across engineers, contractors, and community partners. If you’re a strong communicator with leadership and problem‑solving skills, this is your chance to make a meaningful impact at FortisBC.
In year 1, you will:
- Build a solid understanding of the Company’s internal processes, standards, policies, and procedures
- Put your expertise and knowledge to work on projects
- Champion and promote the importance of safety
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders
- Schedule and organize resources appropriately
- Learn Fortis PM tools and standards
In year 2, you will:
- Build on your knowledge gained during a project cycle
- Identify, promote and implement continuous enhancements in PMO business practices
- Foster effective teams
- Continue to build and leverage relationships with all stakeholders
What it takes:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline from a recognized program plus 4-7 years’ project management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is considered an asset – willingness and ability to obtain designation required.
Our engaging workplace offers a wide range of challenging opportunities, while being safe, inclusive, and diverse. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, while supporting life-long career development. We also encourage volunteerism and nourish the need to give back to your community.
