About the CAA School Safety Patrol program

For almost a century, CAA has advocated for school zone safety in communities.

The CAA School Safety Patrol program is just one way CAA prioritizes community investment and awareness around road safety.

The CAA School Safety Patrol program is a youth-focused road safety and leadership program. It is open to kids (Patrollers) in grades 5‑8 who are trained to keep their peers safe at school crossings and while on school buses. It is run in partnership with police services and bus consortiums who deliver the program to their local schools.

Every year, approximately 20,000 kids at approximately 900 schools across 43 school boards take part in the program. For more on the program visit www.caaschoolsafetypatrol.com

What You Will Do

  • Build, manage and maintain stakeholder relations in communities in which we operate and to increase School Safety Patrol (SSP) program visibility and participation
  • Collaborate with the SSP team, develop plans and execute program and community events, training sessions, workshops, projects and other activities related to the CAA School Safety Patrol program

  • Respond to all Member, stakeholder, and public inquiries about community relations activities in a meaningful and timely manner
  • Liaise with CAA SCO’s Government Relations team to become familiar with synergies that can impact program partnership opportunities
  • Please note, salary range is not inclusive of total compensation.
