The Role

We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Stellarton, NS. Reporting to the Director – Human Resources, Immigration & Recruitment, you will be responsible for assisting in a wide range of HR functions and initiatives.

Responsibilities

Assist with the recruitment process, including creating job descriptions, posting open positions and reviewing resumes.
Serve as a point of contact for employees to address HR-related inquiries and concerns, addressing them promptly to foster a positive work environment.
Create and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure they align with company goals and legal requirements.
Assist with the immigration process for new and existing employees.
Provide administrative support to the HR team as needed, including filing and document preparation.
Support the HR team on special projects, initiatives and ongoing process improvements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or completion of Human Resources Management Program. Equivalent work experience would be considered.
2+ years’ experience in an HR role, preferably as an HR Generalist, Recruiter or People and Culture Coordinator.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software (e.g. ADP, Dayforce, Workday).
