Job Summary
The Electrical Assembly Technician assembles and tests electrical components and systems based on schematics and drawings to ensure proper functionality.
They troubleshoot issues, document configurations and modifications, and may travel to client sites for installation and startup support. The role also includes assisting with non-electrical assembly, operating hand and power tools, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace.
Candidates must be Journeyman Electricians with at least 10 years of experience and a strong understanding of AC and DC power systems. Attention to detail, physical capability, and a valid passport are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Assemble electrical components and subcomponents from schematics and drawings
- Perform tests to ensure product functionality is as expected
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise in the shop, and provide installation and startup support for clients (may require travel to client sites)
- Document configurations and modifications on shop drawings, working closely with Design, Sales and Project Coordinator team members
- Assist the assembly team in assembling nonelectrical components on our equipment as required
Perform tasks involving physical labour and operate hand and power tools
