Other surgical services include General Surgery, ENT, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Obstetrics and Gynecology. There is functional 8-bed intensive care unit.

The program is complimented with a high-quality anesthesiology program and a day surgery unit, which has extended hours for patient recovery.

The region and our departments/sections are committed to our members achieving a "balanced lifestyle" and recognize the importance of professional, family, and personal priorities.

The successful candidate will join our team to provide comprehensive general surgery services to the patients of North East Saskatchewan, based out of Prince Albert. The candidate should have experience in breast surgery and will be required to provide Itinerant services to local hospital especially La Ronge at least once a month. This service will include outpatient consultation, day-case procedures/surgeries and endoscopy. 24/7 Acute care (specialist on call) services will be provided in Prince Albert in collaboration with other members of the division on a 1:7 ratio.

Job Qualifications

The successful candidates will be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS). This individual should be a team player, be able to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, staff and management, and function well in a high volume environment with a commitment to provision of high quality patient and family-centered care. In accordance with immigration requirements, preference will be given to Canadian citizens or those who have Permanent Landed Resident status.
