Job Purpose :
VueReal is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer Wet Processes to develop, optimize, and maintain wet etching, cleaning, and surface treatment processes critical to microLED and semiconductor fabrication. This role involves working in a cleanroom environment, ensuring precision, process reliability, and defect reduction in wet processing techniques. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with wet chemical processing, material surface treatments, and contamination control in semiconductor or microfabrication industries.
YOURDay-to-day Responsibilities :
Develop and optimize wet etching, cleaning, and surface preparation processes for microLED and semiconductor device manufacturing.
Conduct chemical process characterization, etch rate control, selectivity studies, and defect analysis to enhance process efficiency and yield.
Work with photoresist stripping, isotropic and anisotropic wet etching (acid / base), and metal etching techniques to achieve precise material removal.
Ensure contamination-free surfaces by optimizing RCA cleaning, megasonic / ultrasonic cleaning, and other decontamination methods.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (device engineers, photolithography, and metrology teams) to improve integration and material compatibility.
Maintain and troubleshoot wet processing equipment (chemical baths, spin processors, spray tools, and automated wet benches), ensuring tool uptime and process consistency.
Implement statistical process control (SPC) and design of experiments (DOE) to monitor and improve wet processing reliability and uniformity.
Evaluate new chemical formulations, etchants, and cleaning solutions to enhance process performance, defect reduction, and sustainability.
Ensure compliance with cleanroom safety protocols, chemical handling procedures, and environmental regulations.
TOOLs / Skillsyou need for your role :
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in wet chemical processing within semiconductor, MEMS, or advanced microfabrication industries.
Hands-on experience with wet etching, solvent / developer stripping, cleaning, and surface conditioning processes.
Strong understanding of chemical interactions with metals, dielectrics, and semiconductor materials.
Experience in chemical bath management, process troubleshooting, and contamination control in a cleanroom environment.
Proficiency in data analysis, SPC, DOE, and process optimization techniques.
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Experience with III-V semiconductor wet etching, undercut control, or anisotropic etching techniques.
Knowledge of HF-based oxide etching, TMAH, KOH, Piranha solutions, and metal etchants.
Familiarity with waste management, chemical recycling strategies, and environmentally friendly etching alternatives.
Experience in high-volume semiconductor or microLED manufacturing.
