This role offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, engage with global teams, and play a key part in shaping the future of ABMI’s operations in Canada.Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and oversee mechanical engineering activities for heavy equipment installation projects, ensuring compliance with Canadian regulatory standards and best practices.
- Coordinates with design staff members on administrative deliverables
- Coordinate with construction staff both internally and externally.
- Prepare / follow up on meeting minutes for internal and external stakeholder meetings.
- Monitor internal project databases and folders, ensuring that all project documents and permits are up to date and filled out correctly.
- Prepare all construction-related project documentation.
- Updating project documentation when revisions occur.
- Organizing and issuing client billing requests once design / construction milestones are met.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver solutions and documentation that meet client requirements and project timelines.
- Support business development by representing ABMI’s nuclear expertise in client engagements and proposals.
- Contribute to establishing and growing ABMI’s Canadian operations, acting as a key point of contact for nuclear structural engineering initiatives.Qualifications :
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proven experience in nuclear projects, with familiarity with Canadian nuclear codes, standards, and regulations.
- Previous experience on nuclear construction sites is essential.
- Experience in large mechanical equipment replacement projects (including heat exchangers, tanks, boilers, and steam generators) is essential.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience managing teams of engineers and mentoring junior talent.
- A passion for nurturing new talent through co-op or internship programs.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
