This is a hands-on, high ownership role that will play a key part in evolving our Azure-native networking capabilities while maintaining a secure and resilient hybrid network foundation.

The ideal candidate brings deep Azure networking expertise, strong fundamentals in traditional networking (Cisco, routing/switching), and hands-on experience with next-generation firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet). Multi-cloud experience (AWS/GCP) is considered a strong asset.

As oneaviso:

  • We Deliver – You take ownership of your work, honour your commitments and focus on delivering meaningful results. You hold yourself accountable and continuously look for ways to improve

What your day looks like:

  • Design and implement scalable, secure Azure networking solutions: Virtual Networks, hub-and-spoke topologies, VNet peering, NSGs, Azure Firewall/NVA architectures, UDRs, and Private Endpoints
  • Build, establish and maintain secure traffic inspection patterns – centralized firewalling, inbound/outbound segmentation
  • Lead architecture for hybrid connectivity via VPN and ExpressRoute, including advanced routing scenarios
  • Partner with cloud, security, and application teams on scalable platform architecture that aligns with enterprise platform and security requirements

Network Engineering

  • Oversee the reliability, performance and optimization of enterprise network infrastructure – routing, switching (Cisco preferred), WAN/LAN design, DNS, DHCP, BGP, NAT
  • Act as senior escalation point for complex network troubleshooting across cloud and on-prem environments
  • Establish and maintain network standards, documentation, and operational runbooks to support consistent and efficient operations

Security & Firewall Management

  • Deploy and manage next-generation firewalls, primarily Palo Alto (PAN-OS/Panorama); Fortinet (FortiGate/FortiManager) experience is an asset
  • Define and enforce network security policies, segmentation, and threat protection controls
  • Collaborate with security teams on incident response and vulnerability mitigation

Automation & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop IaC patterns for network resources using Terraform and Bicep
  • Drive automation of deployment and configuration of network infrastructure
  • Improve observability, monitoring, and alerting for proactive management of network performance and reliability

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Provide senior technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
  • Contribute to architecture decisions and long-term network strategy
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across infrastructure, security, and application teams

Requirements

Your experience and skills:

  • 7+ years of experience in network engineering or infrastructure roles
  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience
