Senior Wireline Network Engineer
What you bring :
At Wireline Access Technology & Engineering team, we are looking for a network engineer to support new technology introduction and current generation CMTS platform engineering. You will be the subject matter expert on DOCSIS CMTS platform to integrate new platforms such as Virtual CMTS, Distributed Access Architecture, Enhanced etc., and to own and drive lab validation, Pre-Production testing and Production trial of these new technologies into the Rogers network. You will also maintain and stabilize the current generation CMTS platform, ensure our wireline residential and business customers have the best network experience.
What you’ll do :
- Execute Lab, Pre-Production and Production testing and trial of bug fixes, new software releases and new CMTS features
- End-to-end integration of new CMTS platform and technology into Rogers network eco-system
- Own and drive network projects to work with internal teams and external vendors to provide the best customer experience to Rogers customers
- Be the subject matter expert on anything DOCSIS CMTS technology related to internal teams to support their network initiatives
- Mentor and train junior engineers
