Job descriptionP.Eng. or C.E.T. designation. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or diploma in Engineering Technology. 12+ years experience in Consulting Engineering or related field. Management, supervisory, or mentorship experience. Valid class 5 driver’s license. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong presentation and project management skills. Problem-solving skills based on data analysis. Decisive leadership with effective delegation skills. Ability to attract, mentor, and motivate a team. Organizational and time management skills. Strong network within the engineering community. Understanding of revenue models, P / L, and cost projections. Knowledge of WE systems and programs. Base pay range
CA$140,000.00 / yr - CA$175,000.00 / yr
Reports to : Director, Engineering Services
Based at : Regional Office
Pay : Base pay plus bonus
Position Purpose : Responsible for providing strategic direction and developing a strong team of engineers and technologists to support the ongoing growth of the organization.
Responsibilities include :
- Analyze existing data to forecast business decisions regarding budget, variances, client profitability, and risk management; report findings to the Regional Business Manager and Engineering Director.
- Oversee the design process, provide effective options and solutions to design problems.
- Mitigate WE’s risk exposure on projects and protect client relationships.
- Develop standards and procedures for quality, efficiency, safety, cost reduction, and client service in collaboration with Project Controls and other Engineering Managers.
- Lead the preparation of proposals for major projects.
- Support the development of lasting relationships with clients through effective communication.
- Manage, motivate, train, mentor, and oversee direct reports according to company policies.
- Forecast workload, participate in recruitment and termination of staff, and develop career paths for direct reports.
- Manage project costs and timelines to ensure profitability.
- Work with HR to develop and deliver technical training.
- Uphold WE Purpose and Core Values.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, safety policies, and practices.
- Obtain necessary security clearances for institutional projects.
- Obtain Leadership in Safety Excellence certificate as part of leadership responsibilities.
