Materials engineer Jobs in Caledon, ON

Roma Fence is looking for an experienced and motivated Sales Representative / Project Manager to join our team. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys meeting customers, building relationships, finding new business opportunities, and staying involved with projects from the initial conversation through to installation.

You will work with residential, commercial, and institutional customers across the GTA and surrounding areas. The role combines outside sales with project coordination, so we're looking for someone who is comfortable working with customers as well as drawings, estimates, tenders, and our internal installation team.

Compensation: Base Salary + Commission.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Sell residential, commercial, and institutional fencing products and solutions.
• Build and expand our customer base through cold calling, networking, research, and other prospecting activities. Leads will also be provided.
• Respond to new leads within 24–48 hours and follow up on customer inquiries.
• Look for new projects and sales opportunities while managing the leads provided to you.
• Read and scale landscape drawings to determine material quantities.
• Complete quantity take-offs and prepare/submit tender documentation.
• Stay in regular communication with customers and internal teams throughout the sales and project process.
• Work closely with the installation team to coordinate projects and address any changes or change orders that come up on site.
• Promote Roma Fence product lines and help customers find the right fencing solution for their needs.
• Make sure contracts are submitted with all required supporting documentation.
• Follow projects from the sales stage through installation and completion.
• Attend customer meetings and site visits as required.

What We're Looking For:

• You must be comfortable reading drawings and specifications and completing quantity take-offs for tenders.
• Ability to scale landscape drawings and determine material quantities.
• 2–4 years of inside and/or outside sales experience. Experience in fencing, construction, building materials, or a related industry would be an asset.
• Someone who is confident building relationships and communicating with customers.
• A proven track record in sales and providing strong customer service.
• Excellent communication skills, both over the phone and face-to-face.
• Someone who is organized and able to manage multiple leads, customers, and projects at the same time.
• Motivated, results-oriented, competitive, collaborative, and customer-focused.
• A team player who can work closely with managers, installation crews, and other departments.
• Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends when needed.
• Must have your own reliable transportation.
• Must hold and maintain a valid Ontario G Driver's Licence.

Sales Territory:

The potential territory includes the GTA and surrounding areas, including Toronto, Etobicoke, Concord, Maple, North York, Milton, Brampton, and nearby communities.

We're looking for someone who can bring together sales, customer service, and project coordination and who is comfortable taking ownership of opportunities from the first customer conversation through to project completion.
