Materials engineer Jobs in Caledon, ON

Roma Fence is looking for an experienced and motivated Sales Representative to join our team. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys meeting customers, developing new business relationships and managing customer relationships across the GTA and surrounding areas.

This role works with residential, commercial, and institutional customers and manages the sales process from initial customer contact through project handoff to our installation division team. Leads are provided, but you are also responsible for identifying new opportunities and building / maintaining your customer base.

The ideal candidate has outside sales experience and is comfortable working with customers in the construction, landscaping, building materials, fencing, or related industries. Experience reviewing landscape drawings, preparing estimates, and submitting tenders is strongly preferred. You should be able to scale drawings for quantity takeoffs.

Compensation: $85000.00 - $115,000.00 + Annually. (Base Salary + Commission)

What You'll Do:

• Sell residential, commercial, and institutional fencing products and solutions.
• Manage provided leads and respond promptly to customer inquiries.
• Build and expand our customer base through networking, research, and other prospecting activities (Neighbouring projects when possible, etc.)
• Respond to new leads within 24–48 hours and follow up on customer inquiries.
• Read and scale landscape drawings as required for tenders.
• Prepare estimates and support tender submissions alongside Sales Manager.
• Stay in regular communication with customers and internal teams throughout the sales and project process.
• Work closely with the project team to address any project changes or change orders that come up on site that require pricing.
• Promote Roma Fence product lines and help customers find the right fencing solution for their needs.
• Make sure contracts are submitted with all required supporting documentation.
• Attend customer meetings and site visits as required.

What We're Looking For:

• 2–4 years of or outside sales experience.
• You must be comfortable reading landscape drawings
• Familiar with scaling landscape drawings to determine material quantities as required.
• Experience in fencing, construction, building materials, or a related industry is preferred.
• Experience preparing quotes for products, services, and labour is preferred.
• Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with customers.
• A proven track record in sales and providing strong customer service.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong sales and customer service skills.
• Organized and able to manage multiple leads, customers, and projects at the same time.
• Motivated, results-oriented, collaborative, and customer-focused.
• Flexibility to occasionally work evenings or weekends (seasonally as needed).
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating with managers, project teams, and installation crews.
• Must have your own reliable transportation.
• Must hold and maintain a valid Ontario G Driver's License.

Sales Territory:

This role supports customers throughout the GTA and surrounding areas, including Toronto, Etobicoke, Concord, Maple, North York, Brampton, and nearby communities.
