Intermediate/Senior Banking & Lending Paralegal Location: Vancouver, BC (Downtown – Hybrid Policy 1 day per week)

About the Opportunity Our client, a highly regarded full-service business law firm, is seeking an experienced
Banking & Lending Paralegal to join its Vancouver office.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and motivated professional to join a top-tier banking and debt financing practice, working alongside a collaborative team on a sophisticated and varied portfolio of transactions.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing financing files from start to finish, while contributing to a supportive and team-oriented environment with strong operational structure and coverage.
The Role Reporting to the banking and finance team, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing a high volume of lending transactions and supporting lawyers on complex financing matters.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Reviewing governing facility letters
- Conducting and reviewing due diligence searches
- Drafting correspondence to borrower’s counsel and other stakeholders
- Preparing, reviewing, and finalizing loan and security documentation
- Attending to registrations and security filings
- Reviewing executed documents and identifying deficiencies
- Conducting post-registration searches
- Drafting payout letters and coordinating closing and funding
- Finalizing reporting letters, opinions, and ancillary documents
- Following up on outstanding deficiencies and closing matters
- Managing final reporting and file completion
Qualifications & Experience - Paralegal certificate or diploma from a recognized institution
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in banking and lending within a law firm environment
- Proven ability to independently manage a high volume of transactions
- Strong understanding of lending and secured financing processes
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently
