Your Job
We are looking for a Junior Buyer / Planner to support our Materials Management team during a maternity leave. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their supply chain career to gain hands-on experience in purchasing, planning, and vendor coordination. Senior team members will handle the more complex purchasing and planning responsibilities; this role will focus on foundational tasks that keep materials moving and projects on track.
What You Will DoSupport the Material Planner and Buyers with day-to-day purchasing activities.
- Create and issue purchase orders for components, shop supplies, and services.
- Monitor open orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
- Maintain accurate data in the MRP / ERP system (supplier info, order status, basic planning data).
- Assist with reviewing and processing Bills of Material (BOM) for shortages and required purchases.
- Organize and maintain electronic documentation—including certificates, MTRs, and purchasing files.
- Coordinate with internal teams in engineering, production, and logistics on straightforward material needs and delivery updates.
