Skills and Responsibilities :

• Experience of coding in one or more languages viz Java, Python, JavaScript, PERL.
• Familiarity with application development concepts, Methodologies, Platforms, and tools eg : Software versioning, IDE, logging and debugging, automation, testing and release management.
• working knowledge on web platform web and proxy servers, firewalls, encryption protocols, HTML, XMl, CSS, JavaScript, various apps and development stacks.
• Good understanding of database concepts, various database server platform and working on knowledge of SQL.
• Familiarity with Unix environment, Unix commands and tools shell scripting.
• Ability to diagnose and solve application issues.
• Knowledge of helpdesk ticketing system.
• Ability to learn and understand software application tools.
• Strong command and excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work with cross functional teams.
• Knowledge of current trends in IT industry.
• Design document, debug build all new existing software solutions.
• Troubleshoot and solve issues with exiting inhouse and vendor supplied applications.
• Provide on call support and afterhours support on rotation.
• provide estimates on software development work.
• Clearly communicate ideas, issues and solutions to clients and to cross functional teams verbally and / or writing.
