MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Pipeline Integrity Engineer / Technologist on behalf of our client. This opportunity is ideal for an engineering professional with pipeline integrity experience who is interested in supporting deformation management programs and ensuring the safe and reliable operation of pipeline systems.
Working alongside a team of integrity engineers, you'll perform pipeline defect assessments, analyze inline inspection (ILI) data, support dent strain analysis, and contribute to integrity planning and regulatory compliance for critical pipeline infrastructure.
Location: Calgary, AB (On-site)
Job Type: 2-Year Contract
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week (8 hours/day)
Responsibilities
Qualifications - Must-Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Diploma in Engineering Technology.
- Eligible for registration with APEGA (EIT or P.Eng.) or ASET (C.E.T.).
- Minimum 2 years of pipeline integrity experience with exposure to pipe deformation management.
- Knowledge of pipeline integrity principles and defect assessment methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience analyzing Inline Inspection (ILI) data.
- Knowledge of CSA Z662 and PHMSA 49 CFR 192 integrity requirements.
- Experience supporting Dent Engineering Critical Assessments (ECA).
- Experience developing automation tools or using coding to process large datasets.
- Experience supporting integrity program planning, KPI reporting, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
