We are currently recruiting for a Civil Engineer in Vancouver. This position will support both our structural equipment and marine condition inspections in the Lower Mainland area. This is a full-time position based at our office in Vancouver, BC Canada. The selected candidate is responsible for the following responsibilities:
Duties:
Participate in field inspections of industrial and marine sites and equipment
Organize and staff field inspections.
Prepare inspections reports.
Interact with customers, prepare proposals, and prepare project change requests.
Coordinate with clients to schedule inspections, report findings, and follow up on repairs or upgrades.
Participate in project meetings, prepare progress reports, and comply with required checking procedures.
Assist with managing project budgets and progress tracking.
Contributing to updates and improvements of Worley’s inspection database and application.
Maintain a record of personal protective equipment gear and inspection tools in stock.
Procuring personal protective and inspections equipment
Arranging internal and external safety training sessions
Participate in business development activities and support the Sales Team.
What you will bring:
Technical and Industry Experience:
·The position requires some understanding and knowledge of ports and terminals infrastructure (ie. Industrial equipment and marine structures).
·Strong communication skills, good project coordination, enjoys being onsite, safety-oriented attitude, and a strong work ethic are some of the assets required.
Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:
Required:
College or Technical School Diploma in Civil Engineering.
1-3 years of relevant work experience.
Valid BC Driving License and personal vehicle.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal).
