Who we need
You’ll be at the heart of the new business process, ensuring insurance applications are complete, accurate, and ready to move forward. Working with customers, underwriting, and financial partners, you’ll manage data entry, follow up on missing information, and keep files moving efficiently. This is a fast‑paced, detail‑driven role for someone who enjoys combining accuracy, customer contact, and teamwork.
The base salary range for this position is between CAD $45,000 and CAD $55,000, depending on experience. Details of our additional benefits are outlined below.
This job posting is for an existing vacancy. Only one position is available; however, it may be based in multiple locations: Toronto (ON), Waterloo (ON), Montréal (QC) or Burnaby (BC).
What you will do
- Complete verification data entry of insurance applications
- Conduct outbound calls, e-mail and written correspondence to applicants and financial institutions for any “not in good order” documents for missing information.
- Calls to customers to book tele-underwriting interviews
- Take ownership of these calls to ensure accurate and helpful information is communicated with exceptional customer service
- Ensure data tracking and reporting.
- Places additional requirements and ensures follow-up with the clients, external firms and other departments within the bank/financial institutions
- Perform information searches and ensure the transmission of relevant data to the appropriate stakeholders
- Other administration work as required.
What you will bring
- 1 - 2 years of data entry and customer service experience required
- Strong English and French language skills for communication with customers in all locations
- Post secondary education is preferred
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent keyboarding skills and knowledge of PC (Windows, Microsoft Office).
- Flexible and adaptable to variances in workflow.
- Enthusiastic, innovative.
- Solid organizational skills with the ability to prioritize.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- General knowledge of medical terminology is an asset.
- Prior office/telephone work experience is an asset.
