Job description

FCC Electrical is an open shop, multi-trade, specialty contractor serving Atlantic Canada. Kennebec Construction Services Limited’s three main operating divisions include: Construction Management, Electrical Contracting and Communication Cabling.

At FCC Electrical, we’re not a standard electrical contractor — our work sets us apart. Our teams take on some of the most interesting industrial and commercial projects in the region, including DND specialized projects, petroleum facilities, solar installations, sawmills, steel mills, wastewater and water treatment plants, mining operations, and more. If you want a career where no two days are the same, this is it.

We are currently accepting applications from Journeyman Electricians interested in joining our established Fredericton based team.

What You’ll Do

  • Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams, electrical code, and project specifications.
  • Mentor and work alongside Electrical Apprentices—sharing your trade knowledge and supporting their growth.
  • Lay out and install PVC, EMT, and galvanized steel conduit systems.
  • Troubleshoot existing systems and plan new branch circuitry.
  • Install, replace, and repair distribution equipment and electrical controls including switchboards, panelboards, and disconnect switches.
  • Diagnose electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
  • Repair or replace equipment, wiring, or fixtures.
  • Safely operate electrical hand and power tools.
  • Contribute in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where everyone supports each other.

Education & Requirements

  • Red Seal or Journeyman Electrician Certificate.
  • Experience in commercial and industrial environments.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to travel within the province and occasionally outside the region (travel compensation provided).
  • Ability to bend, climb, squat, reach, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.

Work Schedule

Our electrical project teams typically work a 4-day week — 10-hour days, Monday to Thursday — giving you long weekends most weeks.
Fridays, weekends, evenings, and out-of-town travel may be required depending on project needs (all travel fully compensated).

As a member of the OSCO Construction Group, Kennebec Construction Services Limited offers a comprehensive compensation package including health and dental coverage, life insurance and RRSP options.

If you want to be part of a team that treats each other like family and tackles some of the coolest electrical projects in Atlantic Canada — we want to hear from you.
