Job description
Position Summary
We are currently looking for a hard working and dedicated Maintenance worker to fill a position at the Prince Rupert Regional Hospital.

In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, this position performs trades duties approaching the journeyman level in one or a variety of trades areas such as electrical, plumbing and painting in compliance with applicable codes and regulations and may supervise Maintenance Workers and other designated staff.
Position requires incumbent to assume on call duties as part of a shared rotation.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:00

Qualfications
•Grade 10, plus four (4) years’ recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License.

Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to deal with others effectively.
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
• Ability to organize work.
• Ability to operate related equipment.
